2. Connecting recycled material sources with recycling businesses, creating a circular value chain.

3. Connecting financial and human resources, supporting businesses to expand production in the recycling field.

The 4th 10Rs Cafe program brought many memorable moments and practical values. In the cozy atmosphere of the meeting, members and businesses discussed and shared creative solutions to promote sustainability.

      HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT

      I. Topic “Market-Based Sustainable Development – The Intersection of EPR and ESG”

      | Master Tran Thi Nhu Phuong shared about the topic “Sustainable development based on market – The intersection of EPR and ESG”

Master Tran Thi Nhu Phuong has provided a comprehensive view of two important concepts:

      • EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility): Requires businesses to manage the entire product life cycle, from design and production to collection and recycling, to minimize environmental impact.
      • ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance): This is a criterion to evaluate a business’s commitment to protecting the environment, creating social value and maintaining transparent governance.

Incorporating EPR into ESG creates a comprehensive strategy for businesses to protect the environment, enhance social responsibility, and build effective governance systems.

The topic also highlights new policies, such as Circular 96 on transparency of corporate reporting and the revised Law on Environmental Protection, which encourage businesses to integrate EPR into their ESG strategies.

      |Circular 96: Regulations on business reporting, requirements for transparency of operations and commitment to sustainable development.

II. Turning Waste Into Resources: The Journey of Tien Ngoc Trading and Production Company Limited

      | Ms. Ngoc – Director of Tien Ngoc Trading and Production Company Limited (HHTC Member)

Ms. Ngoc – Director of Tien Ngoc Trading and Production Company Limited, shared an inspiring development story based on the philosophy of “turning waste into resources”. With a vision of a circular economy, the company has implemented many breakthrough initiatives:

      1. Collecting and recycling organic waste on-site: As a pioneer, the company has implemented a system of collecting and processing organic waste right at the source, contributing to significantly reducing the amount of waste that must be buried.

      2. Compost 24-hour organic waste processor: A remarkable invention, applying modern technology to process organic waste into fertilizer within 24 hours. However, Ms. Ngoc admitted that the development of this initiative still faces challenges from the unsynchronized waste classification system in Vietnam.

In addition to innovation efforts, Ms. Ngoc also expressed her desire to cooperate with organizations and individuals to build a business network to promote sustainable solutions and a circular economy.

      | Recycling products and equipment, including the 24h Compost organic waste processor, are a testament to the company’s continuous efforts in sustainable development.
